Syrian-Qatari Tourism Cooperation

Minister of Tourism Sadalah Agha al-Qalaa on Tuesday conferred with Deputy Secretary General of the Higher Council for the Economic and Investment Affairs in Qatar, Hussein al-Abdullah, and Manager of the Qatari Tourism Commission, Akbar al-Baker, on the possibility of launching a Qatari tourist project in Syria, pointing out to the Qatari investors' participation in the tourist investment market due in Syria next April.

Al-Qalaa reviewed the situation of tourism in Syria and the procedures taken to increase and encourage tourists to come to Syria, asserting importance of tourist cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides agreed on sending an international consultation firm to Syria to get acquainted with the displayed sites for the tourist investment market as part of the Qatari desire of launching tourist projects in Syria.
