Syrian-Qatari Cooperation to boosting transport relations

Transport Minister Makram Obeid on Monday discussed with Deputy Director of Investment Projects in Qatar Hussein al-Abdullah and the accompanying delegation the ability of contributing in the projects prepared by the Ministry.

The gathering reviewed the capacity of Qatari finance to buy new Syrian planes, building new airports, expanding the Syrian ports and establishing institutions for the railroad lines in addition to financing roads projects.

For their part, the Qatari delegation members expressed readiness to finance the economic feasibility of the presented projects, particularly roads, asserting their desire to establish a holding company in Syria that finances and establishes several investment projects in the two sectors of transport and tourism.
