Editorial Policy
Accuracy and verification
Accuracy comes before speed. Important claims are supported by verifiable sources, preferably primary sources: governments, international organisations, courts, central banks, official statistics and company filings, as well as established news agencies. When sources disagree, we say so. We do not publish a story based on a single weak source.
Attribution and quotes
We attribute information to its source. Quotes are used word for word, as published by the source, and attributed to the person who said them. We never turn a paraphrase into a quote.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting, fact-checking and technical tasks such as metadata. AI does not decide what is published: every article and every update is reviewed and approved by an editor. We do not invent facts, names, quotes, sources, authors or images.
Originality
Our articles are written from verified information gathered from several sources. We do not republish or paraphrase other publications’ articles.
Images
We publish images only when we have the right to use them, with their source and credit.
Our historical archive
Historical ArabicNews.com reports keep their original text, web address and publication date. New context is added separately, with the date of the update and its sources. If an original report contains an error, we add a dated editor’s note instead of changing the original text.
Independence
ArabicNews.com does not accept payment for news coverage.
