Al-Assad, Amir of Qatar meet on developments

Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, and his wife Sheikha Mouza Bint Nasser al-Musannad arrived in Damascus on Monday on a short visit to Syria.

President Bashar al-Assad and his wife were at the head of the Syrian officials to welcome Sheikh Hamad and his wife. Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region, bilateral relations, means of boosting them and consultation between the two countries on issues of mutual concern.

President al-Assad held a dinner banquet in honor of Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and His Wife.

During her meeting with Sheikha Mouza Bint Nasser al-Musannad, Mrs. Asmaa al-Assad discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and family between Syria and Qatar.
