Habash to visit Egypt for the first time since 1969
The manager of the Arab Research Center in Cairo said that the chief of the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine, George Habash, who resides in Damascus, is going to pay a visit to Egypt this month -- his first in 30 years -- to participate in a symposium under the title of "The challenges of the Zionist project and the Arab confrontation."
Helmi Sharawi, head of the center, said that Habash (74), who last visited Egypt in 1969, agreed to participate in the symposium that will be held on February 21 and last for four days in which 135 Arab politicians and intellectuals will take part.
