Post, telecom workers go on strike

Moroccan postal and telecom workers will go strike on January 14-15 to protest the deterioration of their financial situation and work conditions.

The Posts-Telecom unionists said they decided to take this new protest action after the strike they staged last Dec.18 yielded no positive results and after the authorities continued to ignore their "legitimate" grievances.

The strikers say they want to draw the government's attention to their dire situation and insist on the need to improve their work and financial situation to enhance competitiveness of the posts-telecom sector.
