Moroccan public health sector observes two-day strike

Originally published

Moroccan public health workers, personnel, nurses and physicians, observe a two-day strike as of this Dec. 30 to protest the "authorities' indifference and failure to meet their grievances."

The public health sector went last Nov. 25-26 on strike after the competent authorities retracted to the offers they made earlier to the health workers for canceling a scheduled strike.

The workers claim improvement of their financial situation and work conditions including some social and professional allowances.

The public health sector counts over 4,000 physicians and 25,500 para-medical personnel and workers.
