Moroccan banking sector on strike Dec17

Originally published

Morocco's banking sector will observe this December 17 a 24-hour strike to protest the authorities' failure to respond to their grievances. The banking personnel are asking for wage increase and an improvement of their work conditions.

Workers of "Banque Populaire," "Le Credit Immobilier et Hotelier" as well as those of "Bank Al-Maghrib" (Morocco's Central Bank) have staged early this month strikes to claim social allowances of retirement, welfare and alleviation of interest rates of lodging loans.
