Posts-telecom workers observe one-day strike

Moroccan Posts and Telecom Workers observe this Friday a one-day general strike to protest the deterioration of their financial situation.

The Posts-Telecom unionists said they decided to go on strike after the authorities failed to heed their grievances.

The strikers say they want to draw the government's attention to their dire situation and insist on the need to improve their work and financial situation.

On Thursday, the Moroccan banking sector observed a 24-hour strike to claim wage increase and some social allowances related to retirement, welfare and alleviation of interest rates of lodging loans.
