Morocco sets up administrative reform commission
A strategic commission for the reform of administration, chaired by the prime minister, has been set up. The commission will define a strategy meant to consolidate the policy of administrative decentralization and streamlining of administrative procedures.
A circular by the prime minister explains that the setting up of the commission meets the imperative to reform and modernize the administration and is part of the government's strategy to promote a quick and efficient administration, close to the citizen and open onto its environment.
The ministerial commission will define a new approach to matters of recruitment and career management of civil servants and will follow up on the sectoral reforms program elaborated by various public administrations. These administrations will be conducting self-assessment to improve the functioning of their services and promote an appropriate climate for the private sector and its enterprises.
