Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid is leaving on Monday for Austria to begin a European tour that will include Austria and Poland and last for five days, during which he will meet with high-ranking officials in both countries.

An official source in the Arab League said that Abdul Meguid will discuss with Austria's Chancellor Viktor Klima the latest developments in the Middle East peace process and the Israeli government's decision to expand Jerusalem. The visit comes shortly after Austria began its term as European Union President.
