Jordanian daily criticizes US pressures on Syria

A leading Jordanian daily newspaper strongly criticized the American pressures on Syria, asserting that Damascus was keen on Iraq's stability and territorial integrity. In an article by Fuad Dabbour published Sunday, ad-Dustour said the U.S. administration had to recognize that its own policy lied behind its own dilemma in Iraq.

The paper added that the policy of intimidation and threats practiced by the U.S. administration would fuel hatred and abhorrence as well as resistance against it.
