Al-Assad reviews with al-Eryani bilateral relations

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received the secretary general of the people's general conference in the Yemeni Republic Abdul Karim al-Eryani and member of the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by the assistant secretary general of the Baath party in Syria Abdullah al-Ahmar and the Yemeni charge de affairs in Damascus.

Discussions dealt with relations between the Baath party and the Yemeni general people's congress and future prospects of their relations and the need of revitalizing them for the interests of the two countries.

Discussions also dealt with the need of revitalizing inter- Arab solidarity in the prevailing current conditions on the Arab and international arena in order to come out with a decisive stand that supports the Arab causes and interests.

Meantime, the Speaker of the Syria people's assembly ( Parliament) Abdul Qader Qaddoura received the Iranian delegation led by al-Eryani.

Chairman of the Arab and foreign affairs committee at the Syrian parliament Shaker As'eed attended the meeting.

Discussions dealt with brotherly relations between the two states for serving national interests.

Discussions also dealt with "current conditions at the Arab and international arenas and the urgent need to revitalize inter- Arab solidarity in challenge of dangers imposed on the Arab states, especially the policy of besiege, destruction and killing practiced by the israeli forces against the unarmed Palestinians in the occupied Arab lands."

A similar meeting was held between the Syria prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro and al-Eryani during which means of boosting multi-faceted relations between the two states were reviewed.
