- An assassination attempt against Ali Abdullah Saleh
The Lebanese paper al-Mustaqbil said, according to western diplomatic sources said that the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has been exposed to an assassination attempt on the eve of Yemen's celebrations of the 10th unity anniversary, last week.
