Unemployment At 15.1% In Third Quarter

The Moroccan unemployment rate increased 2.2% in the third quarter reaching 15.1% at the end of September, the statistics department said. In its monthly Statistical References, the department said the number of job seekers increased from 1,328,000 to 1,531,000 in September with women under the age of 35 and graduates most affected.

The release also showed that the active population over 15 recorded a slight drop in the third quarter going from 10,338,000 to 10,183,000.
