Jordanian Minister of the Interior Nayef al-Qadi said on Thursday that leaders of the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, currently visiting Iran, against whom arrest warrants were issued will be immediately arrested when they return to Jordan.

He added, "According to the arrest warrants released by the attorney general, which were circulated on all border points, the Jordanian security forces received instructions to arrest them immediately if they return to Jordan."

The general observer of the Muslim Brothers group in Jordan, Abdul Majid Zuneibat, said that he on Wednesday made a telephone call to the chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Khaled Mishaal, one of the three Hamas leaders who are in Iran, who said that they do not want to stay outside the country and that they are determined to return to Jordan, especially as they do not see their activities as violating the law. But they have not set a date for their return.
