Hamas announces responsibility for killing two Israelis, vows to continue resistance
The Ezz eddine al-Qassam group, the military wing of the Hamas movement, which claimed responsibility in a statement for killing two settlers in the West Bank two days ago, threatened to carry out operations in Israel and against " Zionist objectives" in the world if "any of our political and military leaders" are killed by Israel.
It called on the Jordanian government to resort to "the voice of reason and logic and to get away from any steps or suspicious practices that do not serve Jordan or the cause of Palestine," in reference to the measures taken by the Jordanian authorities against Hamas' leadership and offices in Jordan.
The statement, which was released in occupied Jerusalem, said that such practices will only be conducive to further determination to continue militant struggle until ultimate victory is achieved.
