Israel to abide by Egyptian aviation rules
Israel expressed its understanding of the Egyptian laws and rules that organize aviation in the Egyptian airspace.
Ibraham Shai of the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority promised during discussions he held with Abd El-Fatah Kato, head of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, that the Israeli company El Al will abide by Egyptian aviation rules as other foreign aviation companies do.
El Al stirred up a crisis due to the refusal of the Egyptian air traffic authorities to allow the company's airplanes to cross through Egyptian airspace to Africa without prior permission.
