Egypt prevents Israeli passenger jet from passing though its airspace
A spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that Israel is currently studying the reasons behind the rejection of the Egyptian aviation authorities to permit two Israeli passenger planes to pass though Egyptian airspace on their way to Kenya on Wednesday, SANA reported.
In a statement to Israel Radio, the spokesman added that one of the two planes was carrying a medical team heading to Kenya to treat three Israelis who were wounded in Kenya, and at the end Egypt permitted only one Israeli plane to pass through its airspace to Kenya.
The Israeli spokesman did not indicate the type of the load the two planes had or the reasons behind the wounds to the three Israelis in Kenya, SANA reported.
