Baghdad confirms its continuation in resisting the U.S and British raids

Originally published

The permanent Iraqi delegate at the Arab League, Sultan El-Shawi, said that his country's defense forces will not stop firing on the US and British jets that enter the Iraqi airspace over the northern and southern no-fly zones.

El-Shawi said his country refuses the US and British decision to impose the two no-fly zones over southern and northern Iraq and that there will be no concessions, especially as the almost-daily shelling has targeted 140 civil targets, due to which tens of victims were killed, most of whom were women and children.

El-Shawi accused the United States of violating all international laws, adding that Washington is not satisfied with what it has achieved till now, but it will always look forward to benefiting from the weak Arab conditions and the negativity of the United Nations, used by the US to serve its greed and purposes.
