Gadaffi receives head of Sudanese opposition alliance

Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi received yesterday Mohammed Othman El-Mergani, the leader of Democratic Unionist Party and head of Sudanese opposition National Democratic Alliance along with El-Mergani's accompanying delegation that is currently visiting Libya.

Libyan sources said this meeting comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by Gaddafi to achieve reconciliation between the government and opposition and to solve the problem of peace fully.

Meanwhile, Sudanese Vice President Ali Othman Muhammad Taha, who also visited Libya, confirmed the depth of the fraternal Sudanese relations between the two states in all fields of joint interest.
