Originally published

Head of the Sudanese opposition Democratic National Alliance and head of the Democratic Unionist Party Mohammed Othman El-Merghani is heading to Tripoli before the end of current week to hold talks with Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi that tackles means of treating the situation in Sudan.

After his talks in Libya, El-Merghani will return to Cairo on his way to Asmara to head the meetings of the DNA leadership, which were delayed until the first week of coming month instead of the end of the current month to guarantee the participation of all its members.

El-Merghani was to visit Libya last month escorted by former Sudanese Prime Minister and Ummah Party leader El-Sadek El-Mahdi, but he preferred to delay the visit, while the head of the Ummah party visited Tripoli twice and met with the head of the Sudanese Parliament, Hassan El-Turabi, in Geneva, which stirred a large argument in the Sudanese opposition circles.
