10 million pounds for rebuilding parade road of Pharaonic celebrations in Luxor

Originally published

The Egyptian government dedicated 10 million pounds for the first stage to restore the parade road where Pharaonic celebrations took place in Luxor known as "the Ram's road," which links Karnak and Luxor temples at a distance of 2,400 meters.

The history of this relates to 2,500 years and was established over three decades by the kings Tut Ankhamoun, Hour Moheb and Neghet Neb.

The work of renovating the road includes resuming archeological work on the remains status of the Ram's Road and removing buildings located in the middle of Luxor after paying compensation to the buildings' owners.
