Syrian Foreign Ministry expresses desire to protect diplomatic missions

The Syrian Foreign Ministry has asserted the Syrian security authorities' care to ensure the necessary protection for all international institutions, consulates and diplomatic missions accredited in Syria. In this respect, the Foreign Ministry expressed regret over the damage that occurred to the buildings and properties of the US and UK missions in Damascus during demonstrations which swept the city of Damascus.

Hundreds of thousands of students and citizens demonstrated on Saturday expressing their opposition to the attacks against Iraq and calling for ending them.
