Postal and telecommunications workers will observe general strike next month

Moroccan postal and telecom workers will observe a one-day general strike next Dec. 18 to protest the deterioration of their financial situation.

"Al Ittihad Al Ichtiraqi" daily, which reported the news Thursday, cited the workers' unions as saying that they decided to go on strike after the competent authorities failed to heed their legitimate grievances.

The postal and telecommunications workers say they want to draw the government's attention to their dire situation and call for the improvement of their working and material conditions.
