Golden chance for Egyptian cotton in international markets
Mohammed Khalifa, head of the Egyptian cotton producers' assembly, confirmed today to ArabicNews.com that Egyptian cotton has a golden chance to restore its previous position and lost reputation in international markets, due to an expected increase in production this year in light of the drop in international production.
International output is expected to fall to 18.4 million tons from 20 million tons last year, while Egyptian production will reach 6.1 million quintals, which is more than the local needs.
