Lebanese President confers with Iranian, Kuwaiti ministers

Lebanese President Elias Hrawi on Friday in Beirut received Iranian Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Atallah al-Muhajirani and members of the accompanying delegation. Also present at the meeting was Lebanese Information Minister Basem al-Sabaa.

Talks dealt with means of developing relations between Lebanon and Iran and the situation in the region.

Following the meeting, the Iranian Minister praised bilateral relations between the two countries. He added that Iran is interested in expanding and fostering cultural and media relations between the two countries. He voiced his country's support for Lebanon in confrontation of Israel. He asserted the unity of the Lebanese territories and expelling the Israeli forces from it.

The Iranian Minister arrived earlier in the day in Beirut coming from Damascus.

Meanwhile, President Hrawi also met with Kuwaiti Minister of Trade Abdullah al-Dakhil. Lebanese Trade Minister Yassin Jaber attended the meeting.

Following the meeting, the Kuwaiti minister stressed his country's stand in support of Lebanon.
