Turkey underestimated Arab reaction toward relations with Israel

Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem stated that his country is determined to bolster relations with Israel, adding that Turkey will not submit to foreign pressures to change its position towards Tel Aviv.
In a seminar held for Turkish and German journalists on the occasion of his visit to Germany next week, Cem said Turkey has underestimated Arab sensitivity towards Israel and failed to make the Arabs feel secure concerning rapidly boosted Israeli-Turkish relations.
