Mubarak warns against alliances threatening Syria

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Monday held the Israeli government responsible for obstructing the peace process, warning against the consequences of the Israeli policy against the region's security and stability.

The Egyptian President stressed his country's full support of Arab causes, foremost the realization of total Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories. During a meeting with a political group on Monday, attended by the prime minister and the ministers of foreign affairs, information, defense, and education, President Mubarak stressed his rejection of the Turkish - Israeli alliance, warning against any alliance threatening Syria's stability and security.

He asserted the independent Egyptian decision which embodies the national will of the Egyptian people, SANA reported.
