Golden Tulip invests in Tunisia for hotel management
The Golden Tulip International Group (GTIG) will enter the North African region for the first time after it reached a deal with the Park of the Carthage Beaches Company (PCBC). The group also manages five 3- to 5-star hotels in the Middle East and the Gulf region in Cairo, Amman, Kuwait, Riyadh and Dubai
The vice chairman of the GTIG, Bart Hall, said that the group will manage a tourist complex in Tunisia which will bear the name of the group for nine years -- which could be extended for another nine years -- through the deal reached with the complex's Saudi owners.
The complex in the middle of a forest overlooking the Mediterranean consists of a 5-star hotel with 258 rooms and suites, a furnished flat complex that consists of 139 flats, and an entertainment center that includes open and closed swimming pools, tennis courts, bowling facilities, a restaurant, a discotheque and shops.
Hall added that the GTIG is the leading tourist group in the Netherlands, and that it has 370 first class hotels in 200 cities and capitals covering 50 countries including the USA, Japan, South Africa and Norway.
