Escalated Lebanese resistance against Israeli troops
In a statement released on Monday, the Lebanese resistance announced that its groups attacked with machine-guns and rockets two Israeli positions in Bilatt and Teir Harfa. They stated that the attack resulted in wounding and killing Israeli soldiers and destroying several fortifications in the two posts.
The resistance groups on Monday evening attacked two posts manned by Israeli and Lahd's militia soldiers in Tellat Sujud and Bei'r Klab inside the occupied strip of south Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance groups attacked a Lahd militia position in the eastern sector, scoring direct hits.
The Lebanese resistance repulsed Israeli troops who tried to advance along the coast near al-Manouriah town on Sunday night. Clashes erupted between resistance men and Israeli troops, and lasted for half an hour, resistance sources said. An Israeli naval force consisting of a battleship and three gun ships came to the rescue the Israeli troops, firing intensively at the areas surrounding the site as a cover for evacuating wounded Israeli soldiers.
An Israeli military spokesman told Isreali army radio that heavy damages were inflicted on an Israeli post in the western sector of the occupied part of south Lebanon and artillery shells, fired from the area adjacent to the occupied strip in south Lebanon, were dropped on the said post.
