Continued Israeli aggressions against Lebanon

Originally published

Israeli occupation troops continued on Monday to launch attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon and the western Bekaa.

Lebanese security sources said that Israeli military positions at Kawkaba hill bombarded the Litani riverbed and Qlaya, Zlaya, al-Jabour Abu Rashid, and Dhahr villages with mortar guns.

The Israeli artillery in the central sector also shelled hills in the al-Tuffah district.

The shelling coincided with heavy machine gun shots fired by occupation troops while Israeli warplanes were flying at low altitudes over the al-Nabatieh and al-Tuffah districts.

Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance men attacked Israeli military vehicles inside al-Ahmadieh post in the eastern sector of south Lebanon.

A resistance statement said the position was directly hit as columns of smoke were seen rising in the area.

Earlier on Monday morning Israeli jet fighters dropped flares over the al-Tuffah and al-Nabatieh districts.

Reports from south Lebanon said Israeli artillery overnight shelled the entrance of the town of Shabaa along the front line. The shelling was accompanied by a mopping-up operation carried out by Israeli troops in the Shabaa area.
