Sudanese official visits Cairo
Sudanese first vice president Zobeir Mohamed Saleh arrived in Cairo Wednesday heading a high-powered official delegation, Al Ahrar reported yesterday. It said that the visit represented the first Sudanese move to improve relations with Egypt.
Sudan's leader, Omar Bashir, said in a parliamentary speech earlier this month that his country was looking to improve battered relations with neighboring states "and especially Egypt."
The Sudanese parliament asked the government to give a high priority in future plans to the efforts to improve the two countries' relations.
