Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha

Originally published

Muslims in most of the Arab and Islamic countries celebrate the first days of Eid al-Adha holiday while 2.5 million pilgrims started the ritual of throwing "al-Jamra" (stones) against satin in the first day of Eid al-Adha.

The Imam of Mecca mosque Abdul Rahman al-Sdeis said in holiday sermon that "there are attempts to perpetuate western concepts on Muslims in the name of reforms, globalization, openness, and freedom in the context of the fight of concepts and the changing of idioms to their opposite meanings when repression is described as the summit of justice, and tyranny is viewed as the peak of freedom, and oppressions as an implementation of democracy, and defeat as an openness and credibility."

He also added that "violating the holy sites by the smart bombs war and sophisticated vehicles by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian is not considered terrorism, while defending the legitimate rights to preserve rights and religion is considered terrorism."
