Ambassador says threats are due to Syria's solid stances

Pressures and threats Syria is exposed to are to get at her firm stances over the regional issues, ambassador in Bon said yesterday in a symposium. In a speech at the symposium that hosted former German politicians and state men and intellectuals, Hussein Umran said "Syria has the interest in the stability of the situation in Iraq because Iraq's turmoil might affect the whole region."

He added that Syria gave all what is required from her regarding border control while the US administration did not make what is requested from her in this concern.
