Six million tourists visited Syria in 11 months

Syria has hosted about 6 million tourists during the last eleven months with an annual increase totaling 19 percent and tourists spending reaching at $1.8 billion while hotels are 95 percent occupied, Minister of Tourism on Wednesday said.

In a press conference to launch the media and advertising campaign for the Tourism and Investment Market, Sadallaha Agha Al-Qalla noted the need to level up the tourist product quality and to enrich it as well diversify it. He also spoke about the necessity to train and qualify the working force in the tourist domain in Syria.
