Syria has attracted 6 million visitors in 12 months

Minister of Tourism Saadallah Agha al-Qalaa on Wednesday announced the total number of Arab and foreign tourists that entered into Syria during the last twelve months has reached at 6 million visitors.

" There is an increasing number of Arab and foreign visitors into Syria due to the economic and secure stability, beautiful nature, original traditions and habits in addition to attractive tourist activities," the Minister said in a lecture on tourism and investment in Syria.

He noted there were about three thousand new beds that would be used as to bring more tourists and for genuine investment of tourists pointing out that significant decisions would be declared by the Higher Council for Tourism in the forthcoming days to encourage investment in this sector.
