Lebanese MPs and government statement

Lebanese MP Sami al-Khateeb said on Thursday that the ministerial statement of the Lebanese new government on the strategic relation between Syria and Lebanon is distinguished by transparency.

In an interposition during the discussion of the ministerial statement at the Lebanese Parliament, al-Khateeb pointed out to the help offered by Syria to establish Lebanese institutions, particularly in the military field, in addition to Syria's contribution to liberating South Lebanon from the Israeli occupation.

For his part, MP Jamal Ismael, said the UNSC resolution 1559 is an intervention in the Lebanese internal affairs, calling for implementing the international legitimacy relevant resolutions on the Palestinian cause.
