Amal Movement and Syrian-Lebanese Relations

Amal Movement in Beirut condemned Monday the US officials statements on the relations between Syria and Lebanon, stressing that the pressures and threats against Syria and Lebanon are nothing but an intervention in the internal affairs of the "two sisterly countries."

In a statement following a meeting in Beirut, the Movement said that the US Administration insists to keep Israel away from implementing the international resolutions, and it (the US) protects Israel by veto to foil any international bid to compel Israel to implement the UN resolutions including the resolution 425.
