Khaddam confers with Iraqi delegation

Syria's Vice-President Abdul Halim Khaddam discussed with a delegation representing Iraqi Islamic Legislation "Fatwa and Guidance Commission," headed by Mahdi Ahmad Saleh al-Sumaidei the situation in Iraq and its repercussions on the region.

During the meeting, Khaddam stressed Syria's keenness on helping the Iraqi people to surmount their plight and to restore Iraq's role on the Arab and international arenas.
