Al-Bashir confers with al-Mahdi

The Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir met on Saturday late evening in Khartoum with the chairman of the opposition Ummah party al-Sadeq al-Mahdi in order to discuss development of negotiations in Nivasha and later pertinent political developments.

Al-Bashir underlined the importance of national consensus in the coming phase which witnesses the end of war in Sudan, while al-Mahdi said that his talks with the President also dealt with the current situation on the Sudanese political arena and what he had called the democratic change in the country.
