Settlement of Sahara issue goes through dialogue between Algeria and morocco, former polisario official
Direct dialogue between Morocco and Algeria is the key to the settlement of the Sahara conflict, said Keltoum Alkhyat, a former Polisario official who fled the separatists camps to return to Morocco.
The conflict over the Sahara is a making of the Algerian military spheres and the Algerian people know perfectly well that the Sahara does not concern them, said Alkhyat who used to supervise a so-called "National Union of Sahrawi women" within the Algeria-backed Polisario that claims the independence of the formerly Spanish-occupied Moroccan southern provinces that were retrieved by Morocco in 1975.
