On mediation between the Syrian authorities, and Muslim brothers

Originally published

The Islamic movement in Jordan has announced it did not make any mediation between the Syrian authorities and the Syrian Ikwan al-Muslimin (Muslim brothers) who live outside the country.

The London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily on Monday quoted the secretary general of the Islamic Labor Front party, the political wing of the Jordanian Muslim brothers group, Hamzeh Mansour as saying that a delegation from the Islamic parties visited Damascus recently, but did not make any mediation on this regard, nor met any of the Syrian officials.

Mansour added that the activity of the delegation in Damascus was limited to taking part in the activities of the Arab people's conference to back the Intifada and support the Iraqi people.
