For more political detente in Syria

News reports in Damascus said that the Syrian authorities last Saturday released 22 political prisoners including 6 Palestinians, five Jordanians and 11 Syrians.

The reports said that the six Palestinians and four of the Jordanians are members in the Fatah movement while the fifth Jordanian belongs to the Muslim brothers group and the Syrians belong to the Iraq Baath Party and the Muslim brothers group.

The reports explained that the successive release of political detainees in Syria falls in the course of the Syrian official inclination to create atmospheres of political detente on the Syrian arena.
