Sharon postpones visit to Washington

Originally published

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has informed the American administration that he cannot hold his already scheduled visit to the US after ten days.

The Hebrew language Israeli radio said on Monday that Sharon justified the possibility of canceling this visit because of the security conditions in the M.E. region and the Palestinian territories. A matter which makes it imperative for him to stay in Tel Aviv.

A source close to Sharon said that canceling or postponing this visit to another date has not yet been set.
