One fleeying Iranian arrested in Israel
The Israeli daily Maareve said on Monday that an Iranian young man from the "revolutionary guards " who had sneaked to Israel from Lebanon is currently arrested there.
The paper said that the Iranian young man who is 24 year old and who was introduced as one of the close figures to the son of the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami was arrested while he was trying to leak into Israel last week.
The Israeli paper added the Iranian young man said during his investigation that he had fled to Israel because of the repression he was exposed to because of his criticism to the men of religion in the country and that he was sent to Lebanon together with other five colleagues all of them close to the son of the Iranian President Khatami.
On the other hand, the paper quoted an official in the Israeli security as saying that the detained Iranian is a member in the Iranian revolutionary guards "Albasedran" and that he assumes an important position. The paper noted that the Israeli security officials do not know whether he had leaked to Israel to carry out " hostile " activities or he truly wanted to flee for political reasons.
