On Ghoushe's meeting with Syrian officials
The secretary general of the Palestinian militant front Samir Ghoushe has stated that the talks he had held with the Syrian vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam and with the minister of defense Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass dealt with common equilibrium between the Syrian leadership and the Palestinian authority and strengthening of bilateral relations in confrontation of the Israeli occupation.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Tuesday, Ghoushe added that he did not hear during his talks with the Syrian officials any observations or reservations over the Palestinian policy, noting that he had also met in Damascus with several members of the political bureau who split from him in 1988 and discussed with them the possibility of their return to the lines of the " Militant front " ( Jabhit al-Nidal).
