Bahrain carries out a limited Cabinet reshuffle

The ruler of Bahrain on Tuesday held a limited ministerial reshuffle according to which five new ministers joined the government while the basic ministers kept their posts.

The Gulf News agency said that the ministers of defense, oil, the Interior have kept in their posts, they are respectively: Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifa; ( foreign minister) Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khaleifa al-Khaleifa ( minister of the Interior) Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Ahmad al-Khaleifa ( defense) Sheikh Issa Bin Ali al- Khaleifa for oil and industry.

Five new ambassadors were appointed. They include Nabil Bin Yaqoub Ahmar who has been occupying since 1989 the post of chief editor of the Bahraini daily al-Ayam ( the days) as a minister of information; Muhammad Bin Jasem al-Ghatam, the chairman of Bahrain university since 1995 as a minister of education; and the other new ministers are the minister of public works Fahmi Bin Ali al-Jawdar, the minister of state Muhammad Hassan Kamal Eddine, and the minister of state for foreign affairs ( new post ) Muhammad Bin Abdul Ghaffar Abdullah.
