Riad Seif announced the establishment of the social peace movement

The resigned Syrian member of parliament Riad Seif has declared in an intellectual evening held at his house on Wednesday his first plan to establish political organization of a clear program. The meeting was attended by the Syrian intellectual Youssef Salamah who held the Syrian constitution the responsibility of corruption in the country.

Seif urged his guests at Wednesday's forum to take part in the special session to discuss a paper of principles after approving the foundation of a political party under the name of " the social peace movement" ( Haraket al-Silm al-Ijtima').

Replying to a question put by the Lebanese daily al-Safir in its today's issue on whether his declaration is based on a permission from the official Syrian authorities, Seif added " I never waited the green light to practice an activity and that he will continue the way regardless to the color of the light." When he was asked about the number of persons who established this movement Seif replied " they are several million."

Seif's statements in his intellectual forum which is held every Wednesday and called " the national dialogue forum" started with great enthusiasm on the face of this Syrian businessman who moved to political work through the Syrian parliament, while declaring the new movement from his house in Sahnaya, in the outskirts of Damascus.
