Head of sahrawi republic post, telephone returns to Morocco
The director of the post and telephone company of the So-called Sahrawi republic (SADR) returned to Morocco on Friday in response of the royal call: "the country is clement and forgiving."
Ennabet Lakhlifa Ould Ahmed Raigas, his wife and their son arrived in Morocco after having fled the polisario camps in Tindouf (south-western Algeria).
Raigas told MAP news agency he spent more than 8 years (1980-1988) in the polisario detention center of Errachid, where, he said, hundreds of opponents died of torture.
He deplored the precarious living conditions of the sequestered population in Tindouf, while the polisario leadership is growing richer through skimming the humanitarian assistance destined to the population.
Rgaigas, who left a 3-year-old daughter in the Tindouf camps, appealed to international organizations to help lift the siege on the sequestered populations, who aspire to returning to their homeland, Morocco.
